TATO COCA

I’ve been working as a painter and sculptur since the seventies. In the eighties I resided in Stockholm (Sweden), where I worked and developed several pictorial techniques together with the Colombian painter Augusta Herrera.

Being a graduate in Human Sciences from the University of Malaga, I carried out Arts and Crafts studies in Malaga as well as sculpture workshops at the Art Center of Mijas (Malaga), under the tutelage of the American artist Luella Ramsey. I also attended the sculpture and engraving workshops in Fuengirola (Málaga), directed, respectively, by Charo García and José Ma Córdoba.

Throughout these years I have made various exhibitions of paintings and sculptures, both collective and individual, in Art Galleries, Cultural Centers and Artistic Collectives.

I was the founder and director of the art gallery “ARTiCHOKE”, in Fuengirola (Málaga), during the years 1999-2000.

Currently, my work is present in several private collections in Spain, Switzerland, Holland, Norway, USA, Denmark, etc. It is also permanently represented by Galería Markarian in Fuengirola (Málaga) and Galería Haurie in Seville.
